Am I for gun control? Absolutely NOT.
WHY? -
Ok, picture this: If gun control were to be enforced, then we would have no option than to give up the guns, right? Because we are GOOD people. GOOD people follow the rules and the law. On the other hand, BAD people don't follow rules or the law. BAD people will have guns, regardless what the law says. Now guess where that leaves the GOOD people, HELPLESS- which in turn, allows BAD people to take advantage of the fact that GOOD people can't defend themselves. The equation is that simple.
Guns don't kill people, BAD people kill people.
If guns killing people is the reason why gun control should be enforced, then by all means, confiscate every knife from every kitchen! And every rope or belt that could be used as a homemade guillotine! And the list could go on...
Just to let you know, I am a gun owner, thanks to my husband. No BAD person can come into my home and try to take advantage of me without seeing a pistol in their face. And if Justin's there, they'll see more than a pistol.
I wish I was stronger, but the fact of the matter is, I am a gun owner and I am compensating for something. I am compensating for being smaller and weaker than most criminals. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
